I really like the idea of having brighter LED lights in the interior but didn't want to pay the money for the LED "bulb" replacements... those so-called kits are too expensive.

So while I was fooling around with silicone and casting resin, I was thinking about these door lights I just installed in my '66 GT.

So for the heck of it, I made a mold of the part of the courtesy lights that go inside the door and proceeded to cast a new base that would fit like the stock one but accommodate a panel of LED lights (48 of them) already set for 12v use.

I may offer these as my own replacement kit in the future... after I run them awhile to make sure they will last... The plastic inserts that would replace the metal bulb socket holders would come ready to plug and play.. all you would need is the lens and chrome cover from your original.
